Abstract : The biometric systems are developed progressively these times to add or enhance the existing methods. This paper intends to develop a fingerprint recognition system which is fast and reliable in matching fingerprints. We propose a fingerprint system which makes use of Binary Robust Elementary Features to be compared while matching fingerprint templates. The experimental results show that the system produces good recognition rates at faster speeds with precision. Keywords - Thresholding, Otsu Binarization, BRIEF, Genuine Accept Rate.
