Abstract : The need for efficient power transmission in the energy market becomes the biggest challenge in this emerging technology. Therefore, the generation of any power situation at a given point is best ensured by using power controllers such as Flexible Alternating Current System (FACTS) devices. FACT is a device that is composed of static components and is used for the transmission of AC signal. It is used by engineers to control power transmission and hence enhance the capability of network to transmit power signal. In this study, the Static Synchronous Compensator (STATCOM) and Interline Power Flow Controller (IPFC) controllers are used as FACT devices to keep the power stable even after long transmissions and voltage drops. The main purpose is to maintain voltage regulation, which increases the performance of the power line and thus increases the power factor. For this reason, FACT devices can be used to make successful long-distance power transmission. The main purpose of this study is to analyze the performance of FACTS devices and then manage power flow using optimization based Support Vector Machine (SVM). The voltage, current and the frequency of the power signal is optimized using Genetic Algorithm (GA), and the optimized data is used to train SVM. This helps to improve the performance of the system. Three transmission lines are used in different lengths and different loads are added on a separate line. The model was developed on the SIMULINK MATLAB tool. Parameters such as voltage and power loss (reactive power and active power) are measured with and without optimization.
