Abstract : This paper consists of a two stage detector comprising of a weighted energy detector and a new decision statistic based on GLRT Framework. The first stage of the detector is a weighted energy detector. The signal is first given to weighted energy detector and then the signal is given to the second stage. The decision statistic based on GLRT which makes the final decision is used as the second stage of the detector. The performance of the two stage detector is compared with that of the weighted energy detector and C-GLRT.
