Abstract : Today's many researches concentrates on vertical handover procedure as it is integrated in heterogeneous wireless network to provide the seamless communication for mobile users. The main issue with user is, every user wants always to be connected with the network. The advancement in technology has more focus on the 4G system because of the speed, voice quality, performance and Qos. All these factors are achieved by the Vertical Handover protocol. VHO provides seamless connectivity, low latency, high bandwidth, best quality of service (QoS) and better performance for the mobile node that is travelling from one network to another network. This paper provides an overview of handover management and the review and analysis of VHO algorithms.
