Pi Gain Scheduling Technique Using Type- 2 Fuzzy Logic System For LFC in an Interconnected Power System

Abstract
in this paper a gain scheduling technique using type-2 fuzzy logic system (T2FLS) has been proposed for load frequency control (LFC) in an interconnected power system. First of all, the particle swarm optimization (PSO) method has been employed to obtain the proportional and integral (PI) controller gains at some nominal operating points; then, a T2FLS is trained in order to provide a general mapping between the operating points and the related PI gains. In the on-line applications, the trained T2FLS is able to infer the PI gains appropriately even in the presence of noise and uncertainties of the power system. The T2FLS is exploited due to its ability to model the uncertainties which may exist in the rules and the measured data more effectively.
