Paper Title
Ultra-Wideband (UWB) Microstrip Bandpass Filter For Wireless Communication

Abstract
A composite microstrip bandpass filter (BPF) with a fractional bandwidth more than 100% is designed. This design of BPF is suitable for ultra-wideband (UWB) wireless communication. Individually designed highpass structure and low pass filter are embedded into each other to cover the UWB range. Then this design is optimized for better performance. To attenuate the upper stopband a stepped-impedance LPF is employed, and to realize the lower stopband quarter-wave short-circuited stubs are used. The composite form of stepped-impedance LPF and quarter-wave short-circuited stubs are implemented on RT-Duroid and FR4 substrates and then the performance of both is compared in this paper.
