Paper Title
A Survey on V2V Communication: Vehicular Ad-Hoc Networks (VANET)

Abstract
21st century is the era of connected driving. The constant and timely dissemination of vehicle related information to all the vehicles in an inter-connected network is inevitable in order to ensure maximum passenger comfort and safety. There have been many forms of vehicular communication technologies over the past decade. Out of these, wireless communication standards have been the most prominent ones. Vehicular Ad Hoc Networks (VANET), based on IEEE 802.11 wireless standards, has been considered an extremely important component in the domain of Intelligent Transportation System (ITS). It showcases significant potential in enabling a variety of innovative services in the field of traffic management, traffic safety and connected infotainment. This paper deals with the recent trends in the field of vehicle-to-vehicle communication technology using VANET. It also highlights the challenges currently associated with the successful implementation of VANET, its possible solutions and future prospects.
