Abstract : The main intention of our project is developing a system that can be used to monitor the health of bridge. Bridges form an important part in our transportation link. Monitoring the bridge health is an important concern nowdays. Hence it is necessary to keep a proper track of health of bridges .Currently there are various techniques used in bridge health monitoring In our proposed system we have assumed that the cracks are already identified on the bridge and we have developed a system that will work on crack width .Our proposed system has sensors that is used for collection and maintenance of data.Sensors used to measure the displacement of the crack width.Since building of bridges needs many years we can at least make sure the life span of a bridge and ensure safety of public.Inspecting and correction of faults when the bridge is still in good condition ensures structural reliability.
