Paper Title
RFI Suppression Methods for UWB Radar using Data Processing

In UWB Radar RFI (Radio Frequency Interference) is a big challenge due to wideband operational nature of the radar. This RFI adversely affects the target detection and resolution capabilities of any radar. RFI can have various sources like wireless communication links, jammer or any known and unknown sources. If the radar target return signal gets corrupted with it then it’s very difficult to extract information about the nature of the target from it or even the presence of target itself. This paper proposes ways to suppress RFI through data processing method which effectively acts as a band rejection filter. Two methods of RFI suppression scheme are simulated and results for these methods are discussed and Key features are quantified and compared in terms of quality of performance. Keywords - SAR (Synthetic Aperture Radar), UWB (Ultra Wide Band), SRRP (Synthetic Range Resolution Profile), LFM (Linear Frequency Modulation), RCS (Radio Frequency Interferences), Chirp.
