Abstract : With the increase in flexibility of wireless networks and their ease to be installed, the demand has increased tremendously. But with the need of large transmission rates and increased channel capacity, we are in search of a technology that makes optimum use of power and frequency. A Smart antenna is one among the various devices that contributes to the digital wireless communication system that makes use of the diversity effect at either the source or the receiver.
