Induction Motor Based Drive for Hybrid Electric Vehicle Application
Induction motor modelling and controlfor hybrid electric vehicle (HEV) with parallel configuration is presented
in this paper. Motor speed control is implemented using indirect field oriented control. Modelling of total tractive effort of
the vehicle and power sharing control strategy between two propulsion power sources of the vehicle fora driving cycleis
implemented in MATLAB. Driving cycle replicated for federal urban driving cycle with various speed commands and road
slope is simulated. Speed response and torque response of induction motor and HEV is shown in this paper.
