Paper Title
Reducing Power Consumption In Dram Using Partial Access Method

Abstract
A Dynamic random access memory (DRAM) is one of the widely used memories for mobile phones, computers, and work stations. Today developing technology has great deal on size and speed of DRAM. In conventional DRAM, storing small amount of data requires entire memory to be refreshed. Thus, DRAM consumes more power due to refreshing of data. Due to battery powered operation, need of improving power efficiency is increased. This paper focuses on a new method denoted as Partial Access Method. With the help of this method the retention time can be improved, hence power consumption decreases. Keywords—DRAM cell, Partial Array Self Refresh (PASR), Partial access method (PAM), Refresh operation, Retention time.
