Sound Signal Encryption and Decryption using 2-D Chaotic System for Secure Communication

In this paper, a new 2-D chaotic system is introduced and its equilibrium points are calculated to investigate its stability. The phase portraits and the chaotic waveforms of the system are obtained and presented using MATLAB Simulink technique. Later the system is used for sound encryption and decryption in which XOR operation along with chaotic masking is employed to hide the information sound signal for security and sent in the communication channel. Then the output of this cryptographic algorithm is analyzed and results are shown. Further, it is observed from the security analysis results that the system is efficient for sound(audio) encryption and decryption so that it can be used for secure communication.
