Truncated Microstrip Antenna Design With Dumbbell Defected Ground Structure

This paper presents the technique of defected ground structure used for the enhancement of bandwidth of truncated microstrip patch antenna. The proposed antenna has been designed at 5.4 GHz for the use in wireless local area networks in wireless communication systems. To make the proposed antenna more efficient, the designed parameters of the antenna have been optimized and its characteristics are investigated using IE3D software
