Paper Title
Study Of Distribution Automation Based Decentralized Reactive Power Control

Abstract
This paper presents a new approach for reactive power control in the system to reduce losses and maintain proper voltage profile using Distribution Automation. Placement of remote terminal unit (RTU) at DG and at line capacitor in suitable location and their proper coordination can lead to control in reactive power flow and so improve voltage stability margins. These RTUs are communicated together through protocols thus working in a automated manner. Decentralized algorithm is employed to predict the changes in voltage profile due to supply of reactive power at the place of the capacitor bus. Simulation results are shown to check the validity and the efficiency of the proposed technique.
